[SMBX2] The Invasion 2: Ultimate Edition - World 7 DEMO (v1.0.1)

It's "The Invasion 2", but the ULTIMATE EXPERIENCE!

This is a remake of "The Invasion 2" by Redigit. Most of the levels are remade and redone. I'm using an entirely new world map, and worlds 1,A,2,3,4,5,6, and 7 are complete right now. I want your opinions on this project! I'll update this episode every time a new world is finished! :D

NOTE: If there are any bugs or glitches in any part of the episode, let me know so I can fix them!

From all TI2 "remakes" I've seen, this is one of the most promising stuff.
Definitely gives the vibe of the OG TI2 by looking at the screenshots.

it really misses the point of everything ti2 is but it's quite a fun romp when played over screenshare with friends. feels like something from a different dimension, which is really interesting! the walljump makes movement without yoshi or held item nigh intolerable, but still it's probably in my top 3 of the invasion 2 remake attempts (number 1 is the japanese ti3 demo and number 2 is another tiny thing nobody knows). i think my main criticism is that all changed level names are downgrades.

I guess you're right! I'll try to make adjustments to improve this remake/remaster for you guys. Thanks for the suggestion!

i think its alternate reality feeling is very charming in a way. trying to remaster the invasion 2 is a futile effort in itself, so i encourage you to get weirder with it and make it your own.

The World 4 demo is almost complete. I just have to make tweaks and fixes, and it'll be ready soon.

About the HUD, I'm planning on changing the HUD to look more legacy-ish. The HUD didn't really have that much "flare" in my opinion. Still, I'm glad you like it so far! :D

I'm currently using the hudCreator.lua script by Marioman2007. I'm just gonna make the HUD a little more simplified and better. That's all.

Yea, looks much better in my opinion. 💪
Also, I love the new woodland tileset. It plays very well with overall appearance of Super Easy Road level.

I took a closer look at the sprite, and I don't really see anything wrong with it...

I took a closer look at the sprite, and I don't really see anything wrong with it...
It just looks a little off in my opinion, that's all. If you like it, then leave it, it is your project after all.
