For being the precursor to Super Pipe Maze, this was actually more fleshed out. However, this level has problems of its own. First, you shouldn't require the player to hit an unmarked invisible block in order to progress. Second, there's a part where one of those giant Piranha Plants blocks the way forward, and if the player doesn't have a fire flower, the only option is to take a hit or get killed since there's no way to return at that point. Finally, you ended the level in a generic SMB1 Bowser fight. I'm just going to go ahead and say it: if you use one of SMBX's pre-programmed AIs as a boss without doing anything different with them, I'm taking off points. Also, there's no midpoint in the level.
In conclusion: despite the level's problems, it's still just a short, simple and generic maze level. I'd say that this deserves a 4/10.
--EDIT--
You also forgot to put a couple of tiles in the bottom-right of the first section.
