Woah woah woah woah! What's this? A new contest?! That's right! Emral has been very busy lately, so I'll be your Summer contest host this year!

Last spring, we tested you with configs and particles in Vanillish. Over the holidays, we tested you with a 300 second timer in New Year Vanilla.
Now, they're coming together...

That's right, our first 100 seconds level contest! And to make this Vanillish contest even spicier than last year's, we added some additional twists. Come back next Sunday to find out more!

There'll be a list of pings on the forums as a post or spoiler pinging everyone who signed up in this thread. We don't usually ping anyone on Discord outside of rare everyone pings.

Asking lots of questions is good. You're good, I was in the same spot as you ten years ago when I joined my first contest.

For vanilla and vanillish contests, no Lunalua or custom graphics are allowed. Vanillish, unlike vanilla, allows a limited number of configurations. I can only reveal that the level has to be beatable within a 100 second level timer. I'll admit that I should've been more specific on that front.

I can't share anything too specific about this contest yet. However, if you want a better understanding of how typical vanilla/ish contests work, I recommend checking out last year's Vanillacons, and New Year Vanilla.

Yes, custom music is allowed. Not sure what you mean on levels being displayed.

If you're referring to submitting a level, there will be a thread available when the contest starts where you can submit and play other people's levels. Or if you're talking about a compilation of the levels, there will be a level pack available when judging starts.

Can the level be a normal level or a puzzle level?
I watched last year's contest but most of the levels were puzzles or took advantage of SMBX2's mistakes.

I have a problem with my account. I want to set my online status to “No” and the process is successful, but the word “online” does not appear next to my account when I browse the site on my phone. But if it appears, that’s great.
