World 8 DEMO is finally out! This took me a long time...holy crap.
Hello Maximum,
I just wanted to say that I really admire the **Modern SMB3 Mario sprites** you used in *The Invasion 2: Ultimate Edition*. Even though I haven’t fully played the demo yet, from what I’ve seen, they already look incredible clean, expressive, and perfectly suited for the tone of the episode .
I’d love to know where you got them from or how you made them. Are they based on an existing tileset or were they drawn from scratch? I’m always fascinated by high-quality sprite work like this, and this version of Mario really caught my eye.
It really gives your project a fresh and deep identity, while still respecting the classic SMB3 style.
Keep up the great work — I’m looking forward to seeing more from you !

It's kinda funny you say that because the original makers of the sprites are actually from Sleepy Dee and LinkstormZ. I just made a lot of adjustments like the looking up sprites or the custom powerups. The result is amazing! So, thanks for acknowledging that!

Thanks Brothers !!
Added in 34 minutes 51 seconds:
And Thanks a lot for releasing this demo of *The Invasion 2: Ultimate Edition*! I'm enjoying it so far .
I found a couple of issues while playing *Level 1-1: Super Easy Road*:
1. There's a strange **"?" block or object** moving in a glitchy way, as if it's broken or unassigned.

2. Then, a **debug message** appeared saying something like: `a nil value`.

I'm just letting you know in case it's helpful for future updates. Keep up the great work !

Thanks for telling me! I didn't even notice that when editing. Don't worry though, it's fixed now.

If you have an older version, just download the patch only and replace the old files.

So, here's the funny part
I actually downloaded the old full version before you even released the patch
Then after you dropped the patch, I re-downloaded the same old version again... and added the patch on top

I encountered these errors in the game, and the second error prevented me from advancing to the next level:shock: ,
Additionally, will this Projects support two-player gameplay in the future?

Hey Maximum, I’ve been playing through some of your levels and wanted to share a few technical issues I came across maybe it’ll help you with future updates:
In level1, level3, and level5, there are variable blocks showing up as invisible. I think it’s due to missing graphics or unassigned GFX files.
Also, the long block tileset in those same levels seems bugged in PGE Editor some tiles don’t appear properly, or the tileset glitches.
In level2, when I used the Penguin Suit, a debug message popped up:
invalid path 'nil' passed to loadImage
Looks like a script is trying to load an image from an undefined path.
By the way, I had a quick question:
Will the next version of your episode include support for Player 2?
Many players enjoy co-op or having Luigi as part of the story, so it’d be cool if that’s in your plans.
Thanks again for all the hard work! Your project really has a professional touch. Keep it up !"

I don't know I'm right, but I think your using a slightly older version. I also think that you forgot to delete the old level1 folder and replace it with the new one, with the levels. I'll try to make a proper patch for the episode that fixes the Penguin suit undefined path and the Hammer debug thingy.

If there was a mistake from my side, I take full accountability and will correct it on my own, including replacing any necessary files. I'm truly sorry if I caused you any trouble, and I genuinely appreciate your time and understanding.

A little announcement...
Luigi is coming soon!
*This GIF is outdated.

Original sprites by Sleepy Dee.
Fun Fact: I was actually planning on making Modern Luigi, along with Modern Mario, for the W7 Demo, but due to time constraints and school, I just couldn't do it. Now, I have so much time to work on Luigi, and his custom power-ups too!
Luigi is going to be in the next update (W8 DEMO, v1.0.3)!
