samusTweaks.lua - My adjustments to Samus

Hi. I felt like making adjustments to how Samus functions, using her original character lua file as the base. It's incomplete in the sense of what I wanna add, but she's still playable regardless. Credits are in the lua file!

Specific changes that I did so far:
  • Starting health and starting max health increased to 4
  • Adjusted fireGun() function (shot now adds player.speedX to its speed)
  • Bombs, Missiles, and Super Missiles can now hit blocks
  • Added bomb placement sfx
  • Adjusted various sounds
  • Can morph ball jump in any form

To enable this, add the following lines to luna.lua:
local playerManager = require("playerManager")
local samusTweaks = require("samusTweaks")
playerManager.overrideCharacterLib(CHARACTER_SAMUS, samusTweaks)
What I'd like to do eventually (may need outside help):
  • Fix Missiles and Super Missiles block hitability
  • Directional aiming (up, up-forward, down-forward, aerial down)
  • Being able to crouch before Morph Ball
  • Adjusting powerups (there's a lot of extra ones that seemingly don't do anything)
