I found a bug; if you trigger a goal NPC while playing in multiplayer, the game freezes. This means you get softlocked if you use the SMB3 goal roulette or SMW goal tape.
Player rides fast moving railed platform.
Player gets hit by a random enemy, like chasing Koopa.
During power-down animation platform continues to move, usually off-screen and despawn, while player is frozen in place.
Player is dropped into bottomless pit/lava. Instant death.
Without Simple Damage Pause Fast moving platforms and sother such stuff become mandatory blind daredevil runs.
