Simple Damage Pause

The level pauses when you get hurt. Works with two players, it will force the other one to stop too like in NSMBW:

This surely will come in handy in many episodes. Now, how about ice skating from SMG?

I found a bug; if you trigger a goal NPC while playing in multiplayer, the game freezes. This means you get softlocked if you use the SMB3 goal roulette or SMW goal tape.

Apparently it doesn't work with lua-made autoscrolls either.

Player rides fast moving railed platform.
Player gets hit by a random enemy, like chasing Koopa.
During power-down animation platform continues to move, usually off-screen and despawn, while player is frozen in place.
Player is dropped into bottomless pit/lava. Instant death.

Without Simple Damage Pause Fast moving platforms and sother such stuff become mandatory blind daredevil runs.

Is there any way to make the effect not happen when the player goes into a clear pipe? Seems to create some issues with things despawning.
