This is incredible, why not just make this your own standalone game?
It's too big for that I think... ~10% of the art and music is free from copyright, and only ~10% of the code used is actually episode-specific if you consider all of SMBX and SMBX2. I'm definitely interested in re-using ideas from this game in the future, but until I'm part of a much larger development team, the prospect of making it again from scratch is a bit too hefty for my liking. Glad you like it though!
Everybody seems to have this error with a different level. I know of one person that ran into it in a room without enemies. I need some kind of way to find a commonality between them to reproduce the issue. I've never gotten it myself. If you could share a gif of it not working for you, or your item setup, or your options setup, anything would probably help in getting one step further to the solution.
ok, so i went back to the stage to record a gif, but this time the magnet did collect, but it didn't the two previous times i tried getting them yesterday. Problem with that is that i can't really help finding what the issue may be because it's already collected. When i collected it i had 2 hp, no time, nothing in my normal inventory and i had the fast super jump charge and long cape range thing equipped, though i doubt that helps much since you'd have to know what gear might cause the problem, not which gear doesn't.
EDIT: on a side note, were the sprites for sirly cookies and cruel cookies accidently swapped? cause im pretty sure that left one is mr. sir, and the right one is mr. cruel.

Any information helps, so thanks! I'll keep looking with that in mind.
Has it been reported yet that you can mash the jump key to deposit FAT amounts of cash?
Let's say you have 42 coins, you can mash to deposit 42 coins multiple times and realistically indebt yourself.
Also now that I 100% it, I can confirm it's the best SMBX episode I've ever played!

I'm afraid I will have to apprehend you for that. And thanks!
E:
1.0.5 is nearing completion, but there is one more issue that's bothering me which I'm looking to fix. This spoiler contains information about the first level of the "City Outskirts" map. If anyone can help me reproduce this issue, that would be greatly appreciated.
When talking to the Dolphceptionist, sometimes the cutscene will begin to play, but the fadeout prematurely happens while Waddle walks towards Mr. Sir. The conversation will then continue offscreen while the camera pans over the next section of the level.
Changelog:
- Most levels may now provide Tier 2 powerups in its boxes.
- Changed the effect for killing enemies with a nogravity fireball.
- Swapped two item sprites that were wrongly assigned.
- Beta 4 Patch 3 Hotfix addresses a memory leak issue and is encouraged to be used now.
- Redesigned the "Save + Quit" menu option to use Misc.exitEngine if the game is played on the Patch 3 hotfix. Old behaviour is retained in Patch 3.
- Fixed an issue where collectibles would sometimes not be collected properly.
- Final level: Adjusted some setups to make softlocking more difficult/impossible
- Final level: Adjusted portals to no longer randomly stop functioning
- Wind level: Now preloads final section background in the one-screen section.
- Wind level: Added an antisoftlock spike for brave souls.
- Spring level: Adjusted a setup for better flow.
- Train level: It is no longer possible to get hit during the second cutscene.
- Dolphin level: Fixed easy cheese
- Dolphin level: Added missing dolphin goo
- Bubble level: Added extra powerup
- Pepper level: Slightly adjusted various setups in the CP1 area
- Pepper level: Added a powerup to the CP1 area
- Pepper level: Adjusted incorrect coin guides
- HUB: Fixed an issue with the bank that would cause you to lose money you didn't have.
- HUB: The inn can now be used to refresh the vending machine
Known issues:
- The aforementioned cutscene bug may still occur. Need a reliable way of reproducing it.
I sure like farming money and receive the "Capitalist" achievement and buy all other remaining stuff. It is very fun to farm money. I very much enjoy the process of hitting the powerup block for over 2000 times.

There are approximately 500 more efficient and entertaining ways of farming money in this game. You don't need to be sassy about using an unfun method to attain something that doesn't even contribute to completion percent.
I can't find a coin farm that is more efficient than this one. The coin farm in the top secret area yields 10 coins per second and I don't think there's any other areas that allow you to farm coins at that rate. There's certainly more entertaining coin farms but I would like an example of one better than this since I'm struggling to find one.
Any secret room near a checkpoint while having the ribbon equipped.
That aside though, it seems kinda silly to me to rush to 9999 coins for the sake of that achievement. Maybe it's badly designed and I should replace it with something where players aren't coerced into making the game less fun for themselves for no reason by ignoring the game for the sake of a number.

Then how did you farm coins during your full gameplay of the episode?

Not just for the achievement, but for other in game items. The clothing shop drained my 9999 coins down to 1000+ coins. Not to mention I haven't purchase the stuff in the vending machine.

you gain plenty of coins by just kinda playing levels during time trials, if that's your concern. just play the game normally, there's no shame in not having literally everything 1 week after starting to play a game.
On Saturday September 12th at 9AM EST me (and maybe some of the other devs depending on their availability) will do a livestream playthrough of the entire game, pulling back the curtain a little on how and when all the levels came to be, what changes happened during development, and what interesting tidbits may be missed during a regular playthrough. Tune in if that's something that interest you! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOdVJ9 ... 2dfnM8byvQ
