Ok guys so i have a new question for you, can i use the differents skins of the forum to try some good stuff before the beta 4 out ? like pipe skins or background ? i wanna edit some level with MAGLX3 and then continue with beta 4. Or i'll have to start from the begining ?
other question : Are the MAGLX3 and differents graphics pack compatible ?
thanks you
They work ofcourse.
Only some of Valtteris Semisolid Recolors look a bit weird in Latest Update.

your reply to that other person made me feel the need to say i use windows 7 in case that's the problem
no i'm using windows 10
Try installing the vcredist found in your SMBX folder,
64x for if you have a 64x computer, 86x for 32x. If not, install Microsoft's Visual C++ Redistributable 2017 to fix it.
tried both but putting the vcredist 2017 into the folder did nothing

Did you try double clicking vcredist 2017 to install it? Putting it into the folder isn't going to help anyway since it's a installer.
EDIT: My bad, try vcredist 2015. It should fix the problem. Remember to install it by double-clicking it and reply once you've got MAGLX3 up.

Notes from screwing around in the editor's level tester:
-Trying to pause while using a mega mushroom crashes lua with this error message:

-After using a mega mushroom, the level music stops entirely. Restarting the editor does not fix this, but SFX like the mega mushroom theme still plays.
-The Mega P-Switch appears as a glitchy 1x1 block sprite, cannot be jumped on (you bounce off it as if you were spinjumping), and hurts you on touching the sides.
-I don't know enough math to make my own formulas and test, but I added a Graf whose input formula was the default circle provided and it didn't show up in the level at all.
Side questions:
-Star Coins are said to be tracked by the HUD, but it doesn't automatically show up during the editor. Does it require a LunaLua API?
-Since it's sort of hard to test without making a full world, do the playing card switches toggle everything related to them automatically or does it require an API?
-How are the Player Rinkas aimed? It seems random.
-King Bills, Grolls, and Mega Thwomps can't destroy red SMB3 Bowser bricks while the mega mushroom can. Was this intentional?
-Are redirectors used for anything other than Mutant Vine Heads and Snake Blocks? On a similar note, what are diagonal redirectors used for?
-How do you use Boompers?
-Do the checkpoint flag and checkpoint tape do the same things, and is the multipoints API still necessary?
-Where could I find documentation for the new (and old) APIs? There's some stuff for darkness, autoscrolling, and similar in the handbook, but it clearly isn't all the APIs.
Sorry if this is a lot, but I really like the update and I'm trying to understand it.

1) They should show up if their ID in the editor is > 0
2) No library required. They do it automatically.
3) Onscreen NPCs, else random.
4) I think so?
5) Clearpipe NPC direction preference. Diagonals "work" for snake blocks but are a bit janky at the time.
6) You place them and then have NPCs fall on them.
7) Flag can be re-collected. No library necessary. You can figure this out by testing fairly easily.
8) Handbook covers all the important stuff that's not subject to change. If you need specific help with other things, there's a lunalua help forum for that.

Checkpoint doesn't need to be set for their ID. It's automatically set, I think depends on what checkpoint you placed first.

This error suggests you're not using the most recent patch. The MaGLX3 build was updated shortly after release to fix some issues, and this was one of them.

Checkpoint doesn't need to be set for their ID. It's automatically set, I think depends on what checkpoint you placed first.
Checkpoint IDs are also just an internal reference. It doesn't affect anything about how they function except the order they appear in the test menu, and the order they appear in the list when you call Checkpoint.get(). Regardless of their ID, they function exactly the same.

Confronted a Bizarre problem I've been trying to fix, figured I should ask you fellas about it.
The editor and it's tester work perfectly fine, and Smbx 2 Beta 3 functions perfectly. But trying to load in an episode and play it on Beta 4 grants me this error.
I have done everything possible. But I cannot figure this out. Can anyone here help me with this?

Just use 38A. Beta 4 uses some automated crap that screws the order of checkpoints.
Another reason why you should use it is that the PGE Editor doesn't hold a candle to the powerful 38A Editor, with SMM-like Auto Tiling that makes level creation a breeze.

I have just recently installed this SMBX2, and uses 38A before.

You should keep using it.
Another reason why to use it is the Hidden Features can be glitched easily, and are more useful than most SMBX2 Features.
(Also let's not forget about the SMBX2 developers lying about 38A being discontinued, cannot wait for 1.4.5)

I've seen this bug before... but I forget what exactly causes it... I believe it has something to do with camera manipulation. Came across it when I tested parts of the HUD after rewriting it in lua (message box is not in lua, it's still redigit's implementation). I don't have time right now to test it myself, so I would appreciate if you managed to single out the thing that leads to this happening. Working backwards through potential causes and disabling one at a time should lead to a result fairly quickly.

Needs included in the download:
PROPER DLL FILES:
libGLES.dll
mozglue.dll
AND PERHAPS OTHERS.
Otherwise, this is automatically no good.
Currently NOT RUNNING nor CAN IT BE RUN.
