SMB3 Snowy GFX Pack

Hello Everyone!

I have a very simple GFX pack that makes the SMB3 Grassland look like it was recently snowing.

Thats pretty much all I have to say.

Cool graphics, i like how you made the house so your screenshot looks more natural, good job.

Thanks! I though if its a Snowy level, It should have a comfy warm house.
Also, I made it so that when you squish the Goomba, instead of being completely squished, it gets sunk into the snow. because you can sink in snow.

Thanks, I am actually trying to work on a different GFX pack (think DS) but instead of making the same mistake as my SM64 GFX pack, I am trying to draw it all manually.

I used to think the same but once i tried to adapt, i found more success in making sprites so you should try it out as well.

Sometimes, simple GFX looks better than overcomplicated GFX. It's a good thing to remember where SMBX comes from, and old-school Mario game with very little scenery and simple graphics. It definitely has its uses.

yes, but the more 1x1 pixels a graphic has, the more people will notice, its best to try and avoid them and try and recreate the texture/sprite by hand.

The perfect tool to avoid doing that is Paint.net. You want to resize it to half the size and make the sound pixel by pixel. Once you're done with that, resize it back and you won't have any 1x1 pixels.

You shouldn't be doing any stretching. For pixel art you should be individually editing the pixels. Working on a 16x16 canvas and then resizing it later helps a lot. Also you generally shouldn't have any 1x1 pixels at 2px resolution for graphics

yes, why? if I use anything else, it makes it super blurry.

If you are resizing by exactly 200% with nearest neighbour it is physically impossible to get 1x1 pixels

Nice job, I always like tilesets that add something to the bricks and ? mark blocks without fully changing the whole graphic.
