I won't call this 2.0 forums to be exact but SMBX forums.
Also for your information, i am using both 2.0 and 38A, it's just that my project is in 38A and moving it to 2.0 will take way too much unnecessary work and a lot of people are against it because i will have to spend a lot of time to learn stuff and then convert them.
I am asking for 38A episodes to be featured because the way i see it is that every episode deserves a chance, 1.3/2.0 episode and 38A episode because at the end, we want to make an episode, regardless of the engine so for me both are the same.

This forum has 2.0 stickied, and only really cares about 2.0 stuff when regarding contests and the sort. This is a 2.0 forums that also houses some threads about 38A. None of the "classic" members here really know about 38A (iirc) and dont see it fit to promote it when the majority of users here use 2.0.

Monthly threads are currently not happening because there really aren't any monthly news. Or news at all for that matter. We still have one thing planned for the near (???) future but other than that there's just nothing going on at the moment.

As for featured content, pretty much what Enjl said. This isn't even about there not being any recent good content. If I only took recent releases into account, half of the time there'd be no featured content at all. I want to limit the amount of features to really establish the featured content as a sort of hall of fame for SMBX content that represents what the community does.

I kind of missed my chance to do a "best episode of 2018" poll in december because I was super busy, but if there is so much interest in featured content or monthly threads, I could set that up.

As i said, you don't have to support 38A but showing some respect towards 38A creators will be nice indeed. After all, we too want other people to play our episodes (if they are worthy to be featured of course).

People can play content in 38A if they want to. You should be thankful we even allow 38A content on the forums. We host the download links to 1.3 and SMBX2 on the main homepage, hence it only makes sense to feature episodes that are using those readily available links, instead of 38A which is buried a number of pages in General. We show respect towards 38A creators by accepting them into the community. We respect them by constantly saying on the Discord that we don't care which engine you use as long as it suits you. We respect 38A users by telling people on these forums who try to say "use SMBX2 instead" to solve 38A problems that it isn't an appropriate answer. We can respect the 38A content without promoting it. Hell, not even all 1.3 and SMBX2 content is featured, just what we deem worthy to aid people in their experience of the SMBX engine, and give them easy access from the main page of episodes that we expect them to enjoy after having downloaded it. Naturally there are some 38A episodes that I'm sure are better than some SMBX2 episodes, the editor/engine is a tool and obviously people have various abilities in using it, but that is not even relevant to this situation as they are made in an engine that is not SMBX

Ok pixelpest, i didn't mean to be hostile. I am indeed thankful that 38A content is allowed here, i remember when it was banned and i was very happy once in February 2017 it was finally allowed. I acknowledge the effort of the 2.0 community to allow the 38A community to co-exist alongside them. I didn't explain myself correctly when i said "showing some respect towards 38A creators", i meant it in the episode featuring department, sorry about that.
Anyways i had a request and i was rejected many times. I knew better not to start this discussion but at least, gaining few opinions on it is always beneficial. I am also thankful that you decided to spend your time to answer my questions because now, i am 100% informed as to why 38A content will never be featured in this site.

I do. I like the fact that despite this community is somewhat formidable in 2.0 knowledge, there aren't as many custom npc’s in 2.0 as in 38A's engine.

To give an example:
The only available for download npc for Lunalua I ever saw was a Whomp npc. viewtopic.php?f=87&t=22397

People have also made Whomps in Teascript, and also Elite Koopa's, Parabeetles, realistic Red Birdo's, Meta Knight and even a dark Mechakoopa boss (Lz Lxt or something is the creator's name).

The variety of custom npc’s is what intrigues me.

I think you can actually mention any NPC and it is technically already in SMBX2. It's just that it may yet to have had its code written or made public (unless it is actually not possible to program in LunaLua, but the limits of can and can't be done is far from known).
