Man, I wonder what the wonderful team that runs the SMBX forums has in store to showcase to the community! Its been taking quite a long time, but im sure that they are just taking their time collecting and sorting through only the best of the best from the fine creators here at SMBX forums! I eagerly await the December showcase thread, and I hope you guys do too!

Also, i gleefully await the next level contest that this community is famous for hosting in the past. Its really fun to see the community all come together and participate in a contest that we can all participate in, and its a really great way to get some smaller projects and users noticed if they score high! Hopefully december has some of that.

But most of all, i am really happy to see this community thrive and flourish. with active development teams, and a moderation team that really knows how to stir discussion! I'm proud to call myself a part of this community, and I hope to see what we will come up with next!

About the Month of December thread, idk what's happening with it currently. There has been no discussion about it amongst the team afaik, so don't be surprised if the December thread is just skipped entirely.

The model of featuring one episode an gfx pack per month hasn't been sustainable from the start. It was only a matter of time until it would be put on hiatus, since continuously working through every submission from best to worst would eventually devalue the feature entirely.
With the unpredictable speed of releases it's better to react to releases instead, where a thread with episode/gfx features is kept up and periodically episodes/gfx that are deemed good/useful enough by the community are added to it and the page.

I mean it could have been sustainable if they had just featured 1 thing every month, and didn't just limit themselves to "recent" graphics or episodes. But yea i know what you mean.

honestly im just more perturbed that the admins or mods just didnt say outright that they didnt have anything to feature than just not having a thread at all.

Indeed, it'd be very welcome if there be some official news regarding featured content of December, if only to clarify that there is none. After all, it'd be understandable if the admins and mods decided to change this format sooner than expected.

OT: Speaking of which, I actually find it better now that there will be new featured episodes only once every few months. It often takes more than a month to finish playing an episode, so one featured episode per month may well result in leisure-time stress and also prevent players from discovering new promising episodes and creators.

That's why it would be in different section and by having this thread be active when a good episode comes out, this is instead promoting the creator of the episode and not 38A. He has already killed his engine but there are still people like me who are still developing episodes in his engine.

Hosting features for the 38A engine's episodes on a forum working with versions based on Redigit's engine seems just as odd as featuring SMBX1.3 and SMBX2 episodes on the 38A forums.

Huh? What do you mean?
I won't call this 2.0 forums to be exact but SMBX forums.
Also for your information, i am using both 2.0 and 38A, it's just that my project is in 38A and moving it to 2.0 will take way too much unnecessary work and a lot of people are against it because i will have to spend a lot of time to learn stuff and then convert them.
I am asking for 38A episodes to be featured because the way i see it is that every episode deserves a chance, 1.3/2.0 episode and 38A episode because at the end, we want to make an episode, regardless of the engine so for me both are the same.
