This is where we'll store the "best" topics that have ever existed on the forums, as well as community events that are no longer relevant. Read at your own risk.
It's all in the #smbx2-dev channel. They aren't "update posts" like you'd get on the blog, but simple discussion. You can also see individual commits to the repository in the #github-updates channel.
And be sure to post your Mario Challenge/Beta 3 videos!
(Note you CANNOT patch this over Beta 2. This MUST be its own distribution. Feel free to move over your worlds folder so you don't lose any data though!)
Then I suppose that the other things from 1.3.0.1 and 1.4 are gonna be added in the definitive game, aren't they? Or they are going to disappear?
In some cases it's going to be the case that 1.3.0.1's changes are going to be reverted and/or executed more thoroughly than they were back then.
The reversion which comes to mind is the SMB3 grey airship block sizeable, while the thorough execution comes in the shape of many other sizeables:

You know this texture change could ruin some episodes?

I don't think so, it would be probably a little different but it won't ruin them.
The only major changes I can think of are minor graphical changes and the ability to use parametric equations with eeries, neither of which should ruin a standard episode. If the sizables ruin things it wouldn't be hard to make a legacy graphics pack or something you can just drop into and old episode to make it look right, and the new graphics make the vanilla sizables much more flexible.
That would absolutely ruin level design as a whole. What would happen to NPC spawn ranges? Section borders? People not placing blocks in areas which the standard 4:3 camera would never reach?

If the level of the position is less than the aspect ratio of 16: 9, then the camera will increase, that's how it should be set up
I'm having trouble understanding your explanation. I'm also not certain if you actually read what I had to say in response to your suggestion. This change would make every level that has been created so far unplayable. Assuming it were possible to implement.
Water and quicksand are the only things classified as liquids in SMBX right now. But we didn't add them.
And no, we won't classify trigger boxes under liquids. That's bonkers.

The only way these can ruin old episodes is if the original sizeable was intended to go flush in the ground and the person who made the episode did not make the graphic go completely into the ground which is now the intention.
