The Legacy Editor likely won't be removed until PGE fully supports in editor level testing. Right now, Test Level <Alpha> in PGE has a lot of issues, so by using Lua you can test your levels with full functionality in the Classic SMBX. I think the goal is to get away from that eventually though once PGE is 100% finished.

I also found another weird bug.

Using a sounds.ini file, I'm making a Zelda 2-type level and replacing some of the default Zelda sounds with adult Link's voice and other stuff from OoT. I converted them all to .ogg, typed them all properly into the sounds.ini file, and saved it to my level. All the sounds appear to work properly, but in the editor, the zelda-stab sound only plays a really loud hissing sound, almost sounding like an 8-bit gunshot, as opposed to Link's yell, and it's really annoying especially when you swing the sword at enemies. Open VLC to play the sound, and it plays fine.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this a glitch?

Sound files need to be 44100Hz, otherwise they won't play correctly.

By the defintion of "beta", there won't be another beta release. There could be a patch (probably not). The full update will likely be released subsequently.

This looks amazing, just one question. Will version 2.0 be able to play version 1.3 episodes?

I just noticed some graphics were reverted back to their old 1.3 versions (ex. the SMW cave). This should be fixed.

Why were only the shitty tilesets reverted, dangit! I want my 1.3 SMW castle stairs back.
On this note, I'd prefer just reverting the hardcoded graphics for these tilesets back to their 1.3 versions, just because in my eyes the 1.3.0.1 graphics changes were useless and did nothing but destroy the visuals of old levels in certain cases (for example when using the changed sizeables).

Yeah the SMW cave was really the only one that shouldn't go back (and maybe the SMB3 wood slopes, but even then)

Yoshi's on boots, those don't exist (wow already 11 playables in total).

Wait, is that an added tileset or is it a custom graphic?

In my opinion, Yoshi is a playable character in the upcoming beta!

Then a question, but in the future it will be possible to have a counter (the number of moves as in candy crush saga, reported jumps)?
And a program that updates the individual parts?
because, for example, when you update the folder with that PGE laboratory Wohl, tells me that the links with Lua lua and the folder where SMBX Legacy not found.

You can do it with LunaLua.
