SMB3 Desert Enemies (Update!)

Postby bigpotato » Fri Aug 28, 2015 6:11 pm

Inspired by Airship's Mummy goombas, (http://www.smbxgame.com/forums/v ... =31&t=6187) I've created a bunch of SMB3 Desert/Egyptian themed enemies:

The aforementioned Mummy Goombas, now SMB3-Styled:

Some Cactus Pirranhas:

Some Sarcophaguys:

An SMB3-Recoloured Pokey:

A Sand Blargg:

Mummikoopas (Hit 'em and they hide in their Shell Coffins):

And finally, a pyramid tileset:

Update! Some Sniphigi, more Cactus Piranhas, and a sand bones!

Here's the download:
SMB3 Desert Enemies.zip
Now go make some desert levels!

Even for palatte swaps, these are gorgeous! Essential for anyone who wants to make a great Desert level. I might use these in my Cheese canyon remake.
:D
(Also, the pyramid looks nice, but the shading from the left side blocks and right side blocks doesn't blend smoothly. If you could make it do that, it would be perfect)

I love the Sarcophaguys, and not just the name. Very useful for an SMB2 desert level.

Actually, the idea was that you would be looking at 2 sides of the pyramid at once, like this:

I've added two more blocks to make that apparent.

This pyramid is very beautiful, and the other NPCs are very creative, very well

All of these is really good. I especially like the sand blaarg and the pyramid tileset.

Hey
Would you mind me making more cacti piranha's
Because right now we only have one, but what of we also had vertical, ceiling and Venus fire traps (i really like the cacti piranha of you havent noticed) and then the sarcophaguys, they are cool and all, but you could add more types (just by a simple recolor)

You see your whole concept is just 11/10 but you just didnt extract all the goodness out of it

If you want to, i can make the remaining piranha plants, because i am also expanding @prox cheese land tileset
Which is also kinda desert themed, so i can pretty much do it both at the same time lol

Thanks for the offer, but I'm currently working on an update for this pack.
