I also Wish that they at least include 16-bit SMB1 And SMB3. And Wish they would have more enemies and more power-ups And Would have A NSMBwii
style. Too bad this game won't be as good as SMBX.
They can always add DLC.

This does not need its own topic. Merging with the Mario Maker topic.

I think as long everyone doesn't delete their copies of SMBX the day Mario Maker comes out (which I don't believe will happen), SMBX will be alive for a good while.

NSMBWii is practically the same as NSMBU, there is no point in having two appearances that wont look any different.

Actually, they DO look different in tileset regards.

I'm honestly not bothered by the time gates. I'd be more bothered if they never added anything new to the game.

I agree. Start making a level, and add new features every time you get new stuff.

UM is everyone forgetting something?

SMM is for the WIIU SMBX is for PC, so why would everyone delete their copy of SMBX? - I bet people still want a good SMB Editor on their PC..

wow, that sure is hopeful thinking
like even if they were planning future updates, this would be a dumb way to foreshadow it. You would think there would be some basic tutorials on level design that would let you unlock stuff, but nope. There's no defending this, really. I don't think it's a huge deal, but there's definitely no defending it.

Yeah, I guess it's not the best thing they could've done. Still really looking forward to the game's release, though.

For those who don't want to unlock everything, you can just change the time on the Wii U.

I doubt it. They wouldn't be stupid enough to go and do that.

Whata you mean Nintendo would be "stupid" enough? - They wouldn't be "stupid".

And to have a patch, they can just make the save file/save-game-state to check it's time-log to see whether it is the same as the system's clock time.

That makes no sense. Are you saying that the game would check to see if your save data has the same time stamp as the current system clock? Because that's impossible unless you immediately load up the game after saving it.

That is not impossible, a game on the Nintendo 64 called Seaman had it in their game. - If it can be in a old game like that. It can easily be in Super Mario Maker. - And that game doesn't fix your problem, there's game's on PC that does the exact similar thing.

Still it wouldn't fix being able to change the system time yourself. I thought you were saying it as if the system time has to be the same as the save data time stamp, which is indeed impossible as it will never be the same unless your load up the save file right after saving it like I said.

Nintendo can make the game check it upon Game-Startup, this isn't impossible, it can be done.
I don't know what else to say.
