The 2nd "Official" SMBX Skype Group Meetup!

I just had an idea. Maybe we can all be playing a game or something during the meetup to make it more interesting. I can run my Starbound, Minecraft, or Terraria servers, but idk what over 10 people on a server would do to my laptop, considering it lags out a lot.

Don't forget that I own actual servers and I can possibly host Minecraft or Terraria. I don't own Starbound, so I wouldn't be able to play that.

Sounds cool, and who wouldn't want to hear everyone talk at once. I do wonder though, would the Skype app on your phone let your participate in such an event? Also, I'll consider joining, depending on the time of day...

I think March 20 would be the best date because its Spring Break that starts for me. Likely a few others as well. It's just a suggestion that I put forward right now.

I'm okay with that, it's just that my home has usually less people in Wednesday nights. I can be there on a weekend, but it's more likely to have people walking on my room and messing things up (especially my brother).

Yes, the Skype app on your phone should work fine. My last experience with using Skype on my phone wasn't really the best, but it works all the same.

I had something to say here, but I forgot what it was, so this is a filler.

If anyone is interested, I can host either Terraria, Garry's Mod, or Minecraft, I'm open to playing either. I also have a large library of games on Steam, so I'm fine with playing stuff like Civilization III, Age of Empires II HD. Even Battlefield 1942 on EA Origin if people are interested enough.

I'm just looking for activity-type stuff to do while we're in the group chat. I can host for up to 32 players on any server, so all 24 of us in the group could participate in something.

The SMBX level editor online is extremely buggy and prone to de-sync to a point where it's not even worth the trouble.

March 20th is impossible for me, because I have school the day after and I'll likely be gone for dinner or even be asleep already at the time when it's just afternoon in the United States. My Spring Break starts in mid-April.

A weekend would be perfect and pretty much the only time of the week where everyone, no matter whether from the United States, Europe or Australia, could join the group meetup.

I do think the group chat alone will be exciting enough, but why not? Your idea about hosting servers to play on during the group chat is pretty good. I'd definitely be there for a few games of Terraria, Minecraft or Age of Empires 2 HD Ediion.

I'm fine doing the 15th or 16th, I'd prefer the 16th over the 15th as I'm likely going to be playing Dungeons & Dragons on the 15th. Who knows, maybe we can have the group chat on both days?
