Uhh... How did this turn into a CoD discussion again?

I never posted here so I guess I'll contribute to the topic. Worst part of school for me was definitely foods class my junior year, and the beginning of my junior year as well which I'll get to later. Yeah, foods is a great class and probably the most chillest and laziest class ever, but my damn group members were pieces of shits, and it was a permanent group and not a "pick whoever each time we cook something" too, so I was stuck with them for the long run. Just about every time I tried talking they would just ignore me, they never bothered with me too, not even to cook or get ingredients!

I was just standing there while they did everything and were having the time of their life's! It was as if I simply, didn't exist; always in the sidelines. What's worse was that I couldn't use my phone in class so I most definitely had to stand and watch them. It got to the point where I simply did not wanna be there anymore even though that class is so damn easy, and because of that mindset, that class always felt incredibly long even though it was 50 minutes. Though it was worse on Thursday's/Friday's coz long story short, we have 3/6 classes on those days but they last about 2 hours and something minutes so oh god, was that torture. Despite what it might seem like I didn't think my group members hated me at all (except for 1 person which I'll get to later), they're just those types of people who talk with their friends and don't bother talking or interacting with anyone else whatsoever, so many kids do that in general.

Actually, I'll talk about the beginning of my junior year some other time mostly because I don't have time right now. If anyone's actually interested in hearing it then I'll make another post. All I can say is that it was just as bad as my experience in foods class.

Because Superiorstar brought up an incredibly inaccurate stereotype about it, and it was mentioned that people at their schools evidently hate Nintendo and love CoD or something.

@Txunere I'm interested

Also I think every school has those select people that will tell you exactly what they are thinking about you with absolutely no consideration for your feelings. There are about 5 of these people in my grade, and of course, they're friends. So they trashtalk you together :D

It annoys me to see the CoD community have a bad name in communities like this because they only go based on the awful stereotypes, when they themselves aren't even a part of the community.

I'm not a fan of homework, but I hate projects so much more. Especially art projects...

I'm loling, because here we need to spend 1-1,5 hours to complete our homeworks and this is normal.

I've fallen out with this guy because of that.

At school I was scared of admitting that I play Pokemon because at that age a lot of people thought it was babyish. I only admitted it just before I left, and then I told groups of friends that I know that play Pokemon that I do competitive battling (I'd just started getting into competitive, so I wasn't as good as I am now).

for 1, im pretty sure if they're at college they're more than old enough to play fucking call of duty. and for 2, nobody gives a fuck about age restrictions anyway, those restrictions were made to warn parents, they're mega irrelevant to the players.
But the thing is that they've been playing it since they were, like, 12, and the game is rated M. Not T. The CoD fanboys I know aren't even 18 yet, and they always lash out when I mention that I grew up with Nintendo and still play it, thinking that CoD is the better game. They're absolute hypocrites because they're not even old enough to play the game. I wouldn't even touch that game. I've developed a massive hatred to this game as I personally think it encourages violence and that's stupid. Also, why are underage people even playing a game that is rated M?

CoD hardly ever changes the behavior of people who play it. It's an FPS based in war, do you expect it to NOT have violence?

Underage kids playing M games is proven to make the teen crime rate go down. Not sure how, but it happens.

People will play and watch what they want. It's not up to you to police what they can and can't play because of age restrictions.
Age restricted games are some of the best games I've played. I love BioShock Infinite and Assassin's Creed, but just because it's aimed at an older audience shouldn't mean I have to miss out on playing it. I'm barely 17, but should I have to miss out on some of the best games because I'm too young?

Violent video games don't increase violent crime.
With assumptions like "video games increase violence" you'd have to assume violent music and films do too. It's generally found that people who commit crimes based on one of these three had a previous condition. For example, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold were thought to have committed their school massacre due to violent video games (namely Doom), but they both had psychological disorders which caused them to think irrationally. No rational and mentally stable person playing a video game or watching a movie or listening to Slipknot will generally go out and murder people in cold blood.

"One official report suggested that Harris was a psychopath and Klebold was a depressive, and consequently that Harris was influenced by sadism, whereas Klebold was influenced by revenge. This report suggested that all of the reasons the boys gave for the shooting were justifications in order to present themselves as killers with a cause."

Harris also attended anger management classes and both expressed how they wanted to kill themselves and how they were endlessly bullied in school.

The REAL problem is keeping violent video games, movies etc away from the kind of people that will go out and harm other people because they're not in a mentally secure position to make rational decisions between reality and "just a game".
