Miyamoto, are you fucking serious? Putting Jewish stars in a child's game is just wrong.

Japanese SMB2 is just a series of difficult platforming from Japan. Also, that Sprite or whatever is nowhere to be found in the game anyway so yeah...

Why is that? What's so wrong about the Star of David?

I thought it was the Starman. The axe is the eye (TV station logo) I think.

I don´t see any problem with six pointed stars in a game context, five pointed ones can have silly meanings in other areas, but it´s just a star icon.

What's wrong with putting a religious symbol in a video game? It's not like it's offensive to the religion.

Yeah, it's just a graphic... yet it can be discovered for odd reasons in a datafile which was completly unused in the Game itself.

Star of David has nothing wrong with it, so it's not fucked up to put it in there?

But the Star of David is unfortunately mistaken constantly (or at least so it seems) for the pentagram which as we all know means SATAN EVERYONE MUST DIE 666 THE DEVIL IS INSIDE ME AAAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA or something like that and some people get their jimmies rustled over that.

Interestingly, the original NES Legend of Zelda games had crosses everywhere (including a Bible/"Book of Magic" in the first game and a cross item in Zelda II), and Christianity was evidently going to be Hyrule's religion before the more unique mythology was developed for the series in A Link to the Past. (source)

I don't really see what's offensive about a possible Star of David anyways.

That's not actually in the lost levels.

It's in a Japan-Exclusive game called All Night Nippon Super Mario Bros.

You're probably right. It's still from All Night Nippon Super Mario Bros. though.

Well, I don't really know that much about All Night Nippon and never played it - I only saw a few level maps.

Thats why you shouldn't jump immediatly to conclusions like in the first post of this topic. It's better to ask from where it comes or where it was included.
