Short answer: No.
Long answer: Redigit has moved on to other projects due to various reasons listed in the thread. It remained closed source even after the C&D, and even then, those who have caught a glimpse at the Ark of the Convenant agrees that it's a mess to work with. Programming isn't that easy.
What people are doing now is either creating hooks or extenstions to forcifully add more features to the last version of SMBX, or build their own platformer engine in the likeness of SMBX. It's not particularly possible to add in new features straight into SMBX, but people are working on ways to loophole its closed source or provide an alternative.
Question's answered. Complaining about how Redigit doesn't care about this community or suggestions on how to get him to start caring is still talk about bringing back SMBX, which we generally do not encourage. Talk about what you have, or go hit up one of the people working on alternatives. SMBX is dead. Stop beating the dead horse.
