"Sorry, we only got two, and two people that were in line since 2 AM were given tickets to buy them."
"since 2 AM"

I'm just going to let that sink in for a second.
Meanwhile, in Southern California (also known as SoCal), where I was born and where I used to live, hundreds of cargo ships are holding thousands of boxes of cargo containing millions of valuable merchandise important to you and I--including that Meta Knight amiibo I was after. They're all stopped on the west coast, unable to load their cargo, because the dock workers and the Pacific Maritime Association can't come up with a new contract to conform with the times. Here's a few articles about it:

From that last article, here's an important paragraph to read:
And alas, that is why I bought THIS after luckily finding it at Toys R Us. I still have it New In Box--NIB. If anyone would like to ship a Meta Knight to me in exchange for this King Dedede, PM me. That is all.Now management has taken the extraordinary step of locking out dockworkers, and ships are piling up. The Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach move cargo so quickly during normal operations that it’s unusual to have even a single ship anchored outside the unloading zone to wait. There are at least 36 ships sitting at anchor outside the two ports.
