For anyone who doesn't know who Monty is, he was an animator for RoosterTeeth. He worked on their most popular animated series: RWBY and Red vs Blue. The other day he was hospitalized and in critical condition due to an allergic reaction but he was not able to fully recover. The amazing thing is though, that the last time I checked the RoosterTeeth community raised ~160k within the first day of this news. If you remember from a previous thread I made, these are the same people who gave so much during the Extra Life streams.
"As for honoring Monty, we will do that in our own way. In lieu of flowers or gifts, we ask that you simply do something creative. Use your imagination to make the world a better place in any way that you can. If you know Monty like we do, then you know he would certainly be doing that if he were able to."

What do you mean? Suicide?
Considering neither Monty nor Colin commit suicide, I don't think that's what they were referring to. It just seems that a lot of famous YouTubers, or at least YouTubers in general, have died. I have a couple of examples of this; Edd Gould (creator of Eddsworld), died of cancer. JewWario commit suicide. Colin Wyckoff (kitty0706) died of leukemia. And now Monty Oum died because of an allergic reaction. There are probably a shit ton more I either forgot about or left out of this example, but that's just a surreal example.
I heard of this through Markiplier's Facebook page. He only posted one video today because he didn't think this issue was worth being "silly" during. He was friends with a lot of people at RoosterTeeth, so he's in mourning alongside them.

So sad to see another youtuber go!
RoosterTeeth has stopped producing videos for the day too, and skipped a podcast as well during the whole situation. They did however have a short podcast earlier dedicated to him.
Also guys, just a heads up that ~$216k has been raised so far in the past 3 days by about 9,000 people: http://www.gofundme.com/MontyandSheena
Thankfully money will not be a concern for Monty's family in paying his hospital bill and getting through this.
First kitty, now this. Its a shame to see such a great animator leave us this way. I enjoyed the work he had done over the years, and I will look back on it proudly. R.I.P. Monty Oum
