Need help with hacking super mario bros

Does anyone know how to edit the Super Mario Bros title screen? I have been searching all day, and could only find Super Mario Bros Title Editor, which is in Japanese language, and somehow, doesn't save when I want it to! Please help!

Zilch. All it had was the program that I still can't get working.

Try using Tile Layer Pro. It's an all-purpose tile editor, so you'll need to scroll down a bit before you see the title screen. Also, it doesn't recognize palettes, so you'll have to remember which TLP-shading corresponds to which actual color of the title screen.

I use tile layer pro as my graphics design program, but I can only change the letters graphics, not what they say.
