How am I supposed to get a lunaworld text file to work?

Postby Sambo » Fri Dec 19, 2014 1:08 pm

I can't get a lunaworld text file or lua file to work. When I try to use a text file, it is just ignored by the program completely. I tried saving it as lunadll.txt and lunaworld.txt, and it didn't work either way. I tried it with lunadll and lunaworld lua files, and it still didn't work, it just made the program think its root directory was SMBX\worlds\the invasion 2\warp9 for some reason. LunaDLL is installed, though, because it does work for individual levels.

So, how exactly am I supposed to make a lunadll text or lua file affect a whole episode? (what should the filename be, where should I save it, etc.)

Make sure you have lunadll with lua support.
And make a lunaworld.lua file in the episode folder (SMBX\worlds\the invasion 2)
Oh and you cant use autocode in .lua.

I found out what the problem was. Apparently when I installed SMBX, its shortcut was just randomly assigned to run the program from "C:\SMBX\worlds\the invasion 2\warp9" and that was causing the lunaworld file to not work right. I have no idea how it decided that was a good place to run from, or why you would even want a program to run from anywhere but its root directory, but I fixed the problem. I didn't even know you could change where a program runs from without moving it, and I never changed any settings on the program. Just my luck, I guess.

Anyway, problem's fixed now, so you can lock this topic.
