Are you listening to the sounds and music with Windows Media Player? Well, I have, but on closing, the file size of the sound/music increased and there's a delay before the actual sound effect. If that also happened to you, I suggest reinstalling SMBX, because it makes gameplay sound weird, and odds are, you don't have the sounds/music backed up.
Just a good tip for all of you to follow: Listen to sounds and music in the editor/game ONLY. You won't get that delay with SMBX until you open the file with WMP. After that, it's permanent until replacement of the file.
Little note, there may be other players that do the same, but I wouldn't trust those other players. You want to listen to the file, then I suggest copying it first, then listening to it.
