Auto scrolling won't work!

Postby Cloth Pocket » Wed Oct 01, 2014 1:44 am

I am building a Mini-game area for my new episode, and I am trying to use section 2 with auto scrolling.
But whenever the auto scrolling starts, Mario won't be on the screen, all the animated blocks stay on 1 frame
the screen does auto scroll but Without the player on screen.

SMBX's Autoscroll only works in Section 1 very well. The only good way you can do this is that by making a new Level that the first Section has autoscroll in it and the other Level that doesn't have it is that you link it to your new Level.

You can make a dumbed-down autoscroll by placing all blocks, NPCs and background objects in a separate layer and creating an event to make the layer move. A lot of NPCs won't be loaded if you use this method, though, since they'll be too far away from the screen.

But you can always do it like the first The Invasion and use the "No Turn Back" feature in the level settings to create a similar effect.
