World map is blank

Im making my first world map but its all black. I think i hear mario there bumping the edge of the path but cant see him or do anything. I did put the .wld and the level in the same folder, and can load the world from the game menu to play it. I can see the 1 up x3 header bar but no map. I did place a start, but maybe my other settings are wrong.

I dont want to use an autostart level, rather to have the player start on Start, and be able to move to a level icon then press to enter it. How can I fix this black out?

PS maybe if there is a starter guide or video for newbies, like how to make the basics? (Read the help.)

Maybe because you did you did not make the world for your episode, levels are not connected to the world ao it can not be played, you deleted the world so it can not be played, or you broke the game....

I did make a .wld file, its just a basic land with a Start square and a house that should lead to a level. Not sure why its all black though. I think it was working at one point. I tried to make a different new world, but the same thing.

On the start square, did you put "Game Start" or did you leave that blank? That or got to settings!
