Is it true you can't get an acknowledgedly complete game file if you don't use SMBX's default credits? Don't get me wrong I don't want to demean anyone in those credits, I just don't want two sets of credits in my episode. It would look unprofessional right?

Most movies have two sets of credits.... in a row.

Yeah, you have to have the credits somewhere or else the player can never have a 100% complete save file.

Perhaps make a "post game" level for them? Just have the player talk to some NPC in the level and trigger the credits with Bowser Defeat.

Perhaps a lunaglobal.txt solution hasn't been discovered yet?

I haven't done anything with lunadll but I can imagine there's a way you can assign something so that the save file is updated automatically, so you wouldn't ever need to tell the game to put the credits on (since the save file would recognize that you've "beaten" it already).
I'm not at all sure when the game actually updates the save file, but there has to be a way to trigger that.
