errors

Postby Eyesoar » Sun Aug 17, 2014 5:33 pm

I'm almost done making a level but it only takes me about 3-5 minutes to finish if I run through it so I want to make it alot longer. The problem is after I start adding another room or making one bigger and adding more blocks and items and then testing the level this message shows up (run-time error '6' Overflow)... Then the editor closes and everything I tried to add before my last save gets erased. Is this supposed to mean that theres not enough room left to add things? My level isn't even that big it only has 6 rooms total and theres not too many NPCs either I've seen levels on youtube probably 3 times as long as mine. The level does have 2 bosses but I really don't think that's whats causing this. I don't have many events or layers in there either its a pretty simple level. Is there any way to stop these errors?

Put the level file and custom graphics(If any) and custom music(If any) into a zip file, upload it to a site like Sendspace or MediaFire, and PM it to me.

You might have too many blocks in the level. The level editor can handle only 20,000 blocks. Once you hit 20,001, the game can no longer process it, leading to an error 6, overflow. Trust me, I had the same problem. One solution might be to add BGO block tiles or Sizeables that match the blocks.

While testing the level, press "Ctrl+d".

Same idea, but the number is actually 16384 if I recall.
