Postby Lotica » Sat Aug 16, 2014 4:33 pm

Do I really need to explain this thread? Simply tell of the most impressive things you've seen done in SMBX.

Mudkip's Amplitude Area and a level from Super Mario Star Expedition - Gravitational Gadget from World 8. Those two levels are really amazing.

So Levels are also allowed to have. I thought it was something like "Having impressive stuff ever implemented in SMBX". My apologize.

I really like Super Mario Star Expedition by @Chad, most Levels from @Valtteri and more... can't remember much.

For me it HAS GOT to be the intro level in Phil's SMB3 Remake.
It was amazing!

Imaynotbehereforlong's mode 7 experiments are phenominal honestly.

I always enjoyed Valtteri Island, Valtteri did some cool stuff, and I always saw his episodes as more of a playground for him to test/stabalise stuff than more of a serious episode.

And finally, I found some aspects of the Invasion 2 impressive. Some of the moving airship stuff was timed so precisely and it's not something I would be able to do on my own. Also the fact that it used a little bit of everything without feeling like stuff was shoehorned in, it's really an impressive demo.

That was the 3rd place one. And my score brought it down just like it did with 35% of other levels.

The opening cutscene to the New Great Castle Adventure is actually really cool. That must've taken a hell of a lot of work to put together all of the images and text and stuff, and the player control events are awesome too (I love how the player spin jumps when they find out that the princess was kidnapped). Nice work, krazykoopa (or whoever made it).

"Magmatic Escalade" from Bowser's Brain Control Takeover. It has to be the most challenging puzzle level I've ever played in SMBX, and I've played through the optional route of "Pyramid Time!" from Andario: Beginning.

Yeah, I said it.

"Demo Dance MIX" by Holy. The layer, event and warp use in that level was impressive.
