Do you get any type of error messages while the crash or is it just suddenly? Also, can you eliminate nearly every blue Square Symbols with "FFa" in it (rightclick...) or is this not possible?

This might be the cause that either you run too much Memory on your PC or you have too much Memory (bytes maybe) saved on your PC. Try to change/delete/move a few... or change on the settings...

I had this EXACT problem. Find ffdshow and delete it. NOW

What do you mean by too much memory saved? Isnt that a good thing? It's not damaging your computer in any way, it's just taking up a lot of ram.

Also is there a way to prevent ffdshow from showing smbx notifications?
