Level Reviews

I have a new suggestion. Instead of having Level Judges, have Review Judges. Any user can make a review, and if the Review Judge thinks it's a good review the level gets moved.

We are talking about this in the Level Judge forum and we might use this. But well only do it when we're not motivated.

That's what we are planning to do. If we have the same opinions as the review posted by a member we will move it.

I support this Idea if people dont just spam and give people a rating of 1. There should be a reason for the reviews . They do that on smf2

Well, yeah, that's the whole point of this. Only reviewers whose reviews are considered good and constructive are counted by the new Level Judges/Review Judges.

That would take too long IMO. This was meant to make the time taken less so the backlog could be cleared.

We could potentially run into the problem of people "forging" reviews in a sense, but I feel that it would be very difficult to pull off without being caught or take an incredibly great amount of effort of which few people are willing to put forth.

Well U know the level judges should be able to delete those kinds of dumb reviews.

No they shouldn't be deleted though. People shouldn't judge by the review of someone on how the level is. It depends how they like it.
Example:
I would play a level that got 4.5 from someone and calls it not good. Then i play it by myself and like it pretty much and give it a highter ranking.
The Problem with levels is that most people judge by screens or by reviews of other people instead of playing it by themself.

-anyone is a level judge in a sense. they play a level, review, etc.
-im a local smbx mod and after the level gets like 2-3 or more reviews (depends) the scores are averaged and moved into the appropriate subforum
-the level judges in this sense could be used as the local smbx mods and of course they can still review and such

IDK how the level judges would like it though. Although it would give them a break.

They can still review of course. It would just turn level judges into more level moderators and in the end, they still make the decision

This makes quite a bit of sense. I'd think that the "level judges" would also be there to root out bad/falsified reviews, yes?
