I liked the preview images for the levels. Made a good impression on what to expect. Thanks for the good work.

I'm just curious: what are the criteria for assigning specific levels to certain categories, similar to how previous contest episodes used the hub maps? As a first impression, I found it diabolical that the first "category" contained two of, if not the hardest, levels in this contest so far. Special mention to the latter one, where I gave up beating it legitimately, probably others too. Bundling shorter and fun levels at the beginning (5-8 levels) and putting the more difficult and longer ones at the end (2-3 levels) is probably a better option.

I bundled it by the theme of the levels: castle, cave/underwater, night, sky, and tech

I'll keep in this mind if I decided to make a contest episode again

I get you. 2024 in particular seemed to have more long/difficult levels than usual: autoscrolls, many rooms/sections, lack of checkpoints, and even "softcore kaizo"s. The ones taking exceptionally long were pretty frustrating when I wanted to clear a category at a time. Having played through all of them, I can say that it would be difficult to place them in a good order for a first impression. Some levels are genuinely insane, where a 6th category might be needed. If you get the chance next time, you can try looking at the nature of the levels (short & sweet, traditional styled with 3-4 sections, room-based gimmicks, etc), as well as their Munchers ratings.

Anyways, thank you for the hard work of compiling all the levels.
