am just curious what people think will happen to the fanbase/community of smbx, or the game itself
because i see only discord server is active, but the forum is so dead, everyday i see less than 50 people active (less than 4 with account, excluding myself) whenever i check
it could be caused by the fandom being more active on day at american timezone (when i dont check), but i dont know

And the reason why the forums arent really filled with people is that they go on discord because it serves more better ways to communicate

Most likely will stay the same. I don't think activity will ever reach the same level as the mid-2010s, but SMBX will still live as long as people create content.

It's a really solid engine for Mario fan content, so I don't see it dying anytime soon.

yeah but its not just the communication that people should focus on in forums, the forums should be also used because i dont think people post their episodes on discord, or gfx, individual levels, etc. as they do here

It was recommended to not posting their stuff on discord, as their stuff can be easily drowned by the other topics. Pins don't do much.

that's why i dont understand why are forums so dead that its not so often that someone gets a view on their project/episode/level/gfx pack
after all, what forums has to offer is also very necessary for smbx to be a good game that doesnt contain just 2 episodes, where one is just short
do people not care about the game itself?

I'll tell you a truth: most of them don't, including me.
That doesn't make this forum completely dead. As you can see, some people still make contents for the game (lua libraries, graphics, levels, etc etc).
