• It has come to my attention that they released a new version of SMBX. It's all cool and balanced, eh? Well, I'll be the judge of that. And by that I mean YOU will be the judge of that. And thanks to you, I will be the one able to pay rent! Ohh, sweet science funding.

The goal of the science contest is to create a short level that introduces a weird, funny or otherwise unknown game mechanic or glitch to the player, while illustrating how it can be used in a level, or just exploring the extent of its hilarity.
If you are familiar with the "Uno Más" level concept in Mario Maker, you can think of it as that.

More information will be made available when the contest starts on Sunday, April 13, but you can use the time now to brainstorm some ideas, play around in the engine and see if you're already finding things to show off.
