There's some SMB1 recolored stuff in FanofSMBX's pack and SuperSledgeBro's pack.

As for the ROM hack, I have no idea.

Oof, it looks like you have 1 of 3 options if you want SMB1 sprites:

1. Use the SMM2 sprites (think that’s what they used in the b5 trailer)

2. Hunt down anyone who has FanOfs GFX pack and ask for it (Ya now have it)

3. Do. It. Yourself.

I only give you the SMB1 stuff because you asked for it.
Please note that this pack was made around early 2015, that's why all of the graphics use the .gif format.

Oh also there's some more on Spinda's graphic pack (known also as underflo), tho it also released at the same year so you might want to edit some stuff to fit with SMBX 2.0

Oh I also forgot to mention that HenryRichard's GFX pack and MosaicMario's GFX pack do have some SMB1 recolored SMW stuff there. Both packs also included in the SMBX GFX archive, though you have to look for them individually in a specific folder (Level assets).
