while it would be theoretically possible, smbx2 requires an executable of smbx 1.3 which i believe is compiled for x86 architectures - so you'd have to find a workaround for that on top of setting up windows for raspberry pi, making it probably a lot more trouble than it's worth

SMBX 1.3's executable used in the SMBX2 kit is a 32-bit x86 executable, and all the linked runtime code including LunaLua is 32-bit x86. I have debts that Wine is able to run x86 apps on foreign architectures as it doesn't offers the emulator/transoator. There is some Android emulator that uses Wine and the x86 emulator which can run Windows x86 apps, but it works extremely slow.
My suggestion for you: show
For now on Raspberry Pi, you would like to play games with the TheXTech game (another branch of SMBX) which has native support of ARM/ARM64 architectures and Linux. You need to follow this manual to build the compatible game executable from the source code (I didn't built yet the proper CI to produce ARM binaries continuously).

You can get compatible episodes here from the SMBX 1.3 and TheXTech sections.
