First, is the Mario Bros footholds (Super Mario wiki calls it Mario Brothers Yuka). They should act like this:
bumping the enemy shouldn't be limited to the block grid
(the tiles should rise at any point in the block, regardless of horizontal location)
, when hit they will flip over, and remain stunned, until kicked.
(unless they are a koopa, galoomba, or other enemy that can be thrown.)
when kicked, it will be like Mario Bros. Arcade. There are some exceptions
Exceptions:
Koopa Troopas and buzzies will simply retract into their shells
Galoombas can still be lifted
All standard smb2 enemies can still be grabbed, even when flipped.
The only bosses that should flip are Birdo and Larry. When you kick them, they will take damage, and continue their attack pattern (larry will enter his shell, and birdo will just keep moving.
Mouser will drop a bomb if holding one, automatically damaging himself.
If Ludwig, or either type of Bowser is readying a fireball when bumped or bounced, they will not shoot it out.
If Wart or Reznor are bounced, they will not be affected, but instead your character will bounce higher, as these bosses are likely much heavier.*
This will also happen if either SMB3 Bowser or a sledge bro pounds the trampoline you are on.* Mother Brain and Phase 1 of Fry Guy shouldn't be affected.
I've been wanting the trampolines for a while. (2 Variants; Wide ones in red and green, and 32 pixels wide ones without the functionality of the wide ones.)
The wide ones should have some LunaLua functionality; Whenever you jump on one, whilst an enemy is also on top, they should act as if they were hit from below just like the footholds
* this only should occur on trampolines; if you attempt this with the footholds, it shouldn't work. If Bowser pounds the footholds above you, you should be crushed to small size. If a reznor is hit by a foothold, it should just kill it.
