I glanced into the second one and it fell short a loooot compared to the first one. It feels more like an appendix rather than a sequel.

The first was a long adventure that kept me hooked until the end and had not too many annoyances (other than, say, Super Mario Advent). So, maybe it wasn't a "good episode" (by today's terminology, basically no episode from 5+ years ago was "good"), but it was at least a fun episode for me.

Personally, I still like the original Sarasaland Adventure. Yes, the backtracking was really annoying at times, but I had a lot of fun with it.

Also, there are a lot of older episodes that are still pretty good.

Mario Classic is still my favourite episode, Super Talking Time Bros. 2 and 2.5 (and even the first one to a certain degree) are really good, SKL-Mario Classic Adventure is really good and Endless Exploration is a really good episode too. Oh, and The Invasion 2 is fun as well.

EDIT: The Great Empire 1, 2 and 3 are great as well...

SKL Mario Classic is not good at all from a 100% perspective because it's literally impossible to figure out where the 27 stars in the episode from 100+ level files without an outside guide.

Okay, this is true. I still haven't found all of them. I had a lot of fun with the episode nonetheless, despite its flaws.

Also, The Great Empire 3 is not a good episode to 100%, there's literally stars where you have to randomly jump into pits or clip through walls with no indication. There's one level where you have to play the same 2 minute section 8 times in a row to 100% it.

To be honest, I don't remember that (even though I haven't played it in a while). I remember it as a really enjoyable experience, though.
