Scroll's Graphics

Since some time I have been doing small graphic edits for my levels so I decided to gather them and release them in one file. So far this small GFX pack just contains stuff like graphic recolors, edits, and rips (specially from Mario Editor), but
if I ever learn to make good sprites I will probably make custom NPCs or even tilesets. All of the graphics are in GIF format so they can be used in any SMBX version.

I like how the wrap pipes looks very High Definition compare to the pipes in other GFX packs! ^^"

Thanks, the original sprites are from the SMB3 HD Pack (found it in the community graphics pack), and I made them horizontal and a gray variant
However I don't know who's the author of that GFX pack so I can credit him in the folder (I put "Unknown Source" in the pipes folder if anything)

actually, that isn't a good thing. Using too many colors makes your sprite look blurry. Plus without the contrast, the pipe goes from looking metallic to something like plastic. Not to mention that the pipes clash with the rest of the graphics due to the drastic style change. I like how you experimented with the colors on the mushrooms, but some of the spots are shaded incorrectly. Your light source is all over the place on the spots. There are instances where the spots appear brighter in darker areas and darker in brighter areas which makes no sense whatsoever. All I can say is keep practicing.

Thanks for giving your opinion, I will consider this in the next version. What about the rest though?

I like the warp pipes, but at the same time I personally think they look a little out of place with the rest of the graphics. The others look fine though.

Thanks. I know they do, but they were meant to be used along with some more realistic tileset than the SMBX default ones, but anyway I will upload them with less colors in the next version

the other things look fine. They seem to just be recolors from what I see, but the other recolors aren't bad. However, I personally am not a fan of the vibrant blue colors. Since you're just starting out on coloring, I will say that blue is a difficult color to work with at first. Idk if this will solve the problem completely, but I recommend desaturating the blue and maybe increase the contrast a tiny bit? idk, personally I would have to play around with it.

The original pipe is something I made 7 years ago, just when I started doing spritework. Don't bother crediting me, though. You are free to take all credit for your alterations. I just wanted to clarify that "unknown source" bit.

Why are the Right Mushroom Ends mirrored versions of the left ones?

Okay, thanks for the feedback! I will take this into consideration

Thanks for the clarification. Are you the actual creator of that "HD" pack? I'll credit you anyway

Lol I didn't notice that until I looked at the screenshots
Anyway in the next update the mushrooms are the thing that's going to change the most so far so I may fix that up

I did not know you had a graphics pack :p
Looks pretty good, even when most of them are recolors. I hope I can see how you make your own graphics next time :3

I lost the files of this pack and for some reason my MEGA account got deleted. So, if anyone has this pack downloaded please send it to me privately. I may continue experimenting with graphics in the future.
