A Mysterious Evil Wizard threatens The Mushroom People, with a spell turning them into stone.
The Super Mario Brothers pursue high into The Mystic Mountains with help from The Mushroom Genie.
Obtain The East Dream Star before The Evil Wizard does or there will be no reversing his spell!
Ver.1.3
-Screenshots-
Easy/Medium Difficulty. May contain a few difficult levels or bosses.
-Hints/Information
-There are 2 unmarked secret exits in World 2. They are in Plex Rex Palace and Wartsonsworth.
-After collecting A Magic Star: Back at the entrance of the level the Mushroom people are usually grateful for being turned back from stone, and give a Power-up.
-World 3 is an optional world hidden in World 2. World 4 is the main path forward, after beating World 2.
-There is a hidden World 9 warp somewhere before World 5. Doubtful it will ever be found.
-Requires exploring if you want the Magic Stars to enter World 9, to utterly defeat The Evil Wizard and revive all the stoned Toads. (or for Gate shortcuts)
-Its possible to bolt through most of the levels and pull off cemi-fancy stunts along the way. (Knowing the level already naturally helps)
-A normal run in the episode is designed to have very few dead ends. So you can choose a path and eventually get to the Gauntlet Palace, which is the main ending.
Even I am unaware of the fastest way to the end. I couldn't imagine doing a 37 Star speed run here, but someone may figure it out someday.
(My best time for Main Ending: Roughly 2 hours)
-Is my first episode so all the vanilla graphics were used and it might look clashy at times, custom sprites and multiple revisions made to help tilt that effect.
-Download- Mystic Atlus
(Patched for Eclipsed's play through. Mispelling of redigit corrected, Eagle Mouser game crash fixed in World 6, a few eyesore bg's removed in World 6, very minor patch.)

WOW!! I'll be happy for the like 5th or 6th playthrough in a while, after I'm finished with other episodes.
It'll be so exciting to see the changes and if they're for the better this time around

Thanks!
Cedur I hope you find this episode more toward your liking. It was rushed as you pointed out so this time I put in the extra effort.
There are 4 ways to enter World 6 for example.

Cedur, good eye as always!
I'll update whatever bugs are found for a final patch. There likely won't be many.
A couple of boss battles have minor glitches in them that I may need advice to fix. nothing that makes them unbeatable though.

the blue bricks don't deal him any damage. They just shatter at his right tentacle

Its a weird one I thought people would have trouble with. I tested it a bunch of times and the bricks do deal the squid damage but you have to make sure the squid is visable on the screen. Sometimes it just shatters as you said especially when the squid is not on the visable screen. I should probably make it a tad easier though might remove a block or 2 and see if it works better.

I think all you need to do is shifting the gap upwards. Just make sure the bricks find their target

The Tyson's Depth boss seems impossible. It constantly refreshes health upon changing sides and it's impossible to hit it 10 times without a hammer.

Oh well, with an ice flower you could freeze an enemy and go to the corner of the screen to maul him from behind. But I guess this still requires an external power-up (as I don't remember there was an ice flower provided ... and even if so, you must not lose it ...)

Though it certainly looks interesting, a lot of screens does have those kind of... weird ugly low quality textures. Plus some elements are randomly 1x1 pixels and there is also clash or elements that does not look good together.
