You Vs Boo Recreation in SMBX 1.3.0

This is a recreation of those You Vs Boo stages from SMBDX, but now on SMBX. There is no need for any mods, as this can run in the vanilla SMBX 1.3.0. Instead of a Boo chasing you, it's instead racing against a time limit. Hitting the switch blocks will keep the blocks switched like the original for 3 seconds, then return the way they were when you start the stage. The time limit is started once you touch the checkered mushroom and will always let you beat the stage within 60 seconds, failing to do so will cause the whole stage to dissapear, killing you. I plan on adding custom stages that ether I make, or you guys make. I also plan on adding a shop of sorts. Entering the blue castle in the stage select stage will let you pick a custom stage, while the other castle will let you pick one of the normal stages. You collect stars, both from beating one of the dungeons, or by finding secret stars. I also plan on having another star that can only appear after you collected all the coins in all stages, except water stages. Tell me what you think, and I am now releasing this as it's nearly done with it's development with only some custom graphics, the shop section of the hub world, and adding those custom stages.

Very nice, but I feel like this would be better off in Battle Mode.
I was actually planning to do this myself, but I couldn't figure out how it would work.

Yeah, thing is was that I was making this before I discovered you were doing it in that SMB remake in SMBX. I decided to upload it because I only had to do the stage select, and some custom graphics to just throw away after all that effort. That, and it could maybe give you some ideas. Once you have finished your version I could link to it from here if you would like. I'm wanting to see what you could do with this as I not only could'int do the racing against a boo thing, but also the timed blocks always turn back to how they started when you hit them, too complex for me as of now. Good luck! Also I agree with you with it being in battle mode, maybe the first one to reach the end wins, and maybe both a singleplayer, and multiplayer mode for the boo vs thing, but I'm fine if you only have the multiplayer mode, or the singleplayer mode.

It is, espesally when you try it in SMBDX (Super Mario Bros Deluxe) or in that Sapphire Bullet Bill's version of it once it comes out.

I think this SMBX episode is a nice tribute to 1 of the optional modes in Super Mario Bros. Deluxe!

Oh, I have Super Mario Bros Deluxe on Virtual Console and You Vs Boo is really fun. I'm glad to see someone remembers it. When I get home i'll check it out!
