Pit of 20 Trials

Postby Me126546 » Mon Jan 08, 2018 10:26 pm

Hey guys, I used to be a part of the original SMBX forums. Oh, how time passes. Back in 2015 I started making an episode meant to be a gift for a friend, though I never finished it. Looking back, there are some levels I'm still proud of so I'll be posting a few.
Here is the Pit of 20 Trials. Simple puzzles that involve you finding the key and taking it to the lock. Simple, but hopefully fun.

This is a fortress where most of the enemies are friendly and you may talk to them. I apologize for any cringy dialogue. Hopefully it's mostly just cute.

New Zelda II Inspired Dungeon

But, I am really proud of this one. Tell me what you think? You play as Link and go through a Zelda II-type dungeon. Puzzles, backtracking, bit of combat, the works.

The graphics in this level looks very faithful to Zelda II if it was a 16-bit reboot! Well done! ^^

Ah. I see you took inspiration from "The Pit of 100 Trials" from Paper Mario: The Thousand Year-Door & Super Paper Mario in the past. ;)

And with the same room progressive system as in Super Paper Mario

Kid, have I said that a couple of times now. In any case, I am extremely glad for this one. Disclose to me what you think? You play as Link and experience a Zelda II-type cell. Riddles, backtracking, the bit of battle, the works.

This is very fun, even though I haven't played Zelda 2 in like 10 years ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This level keeps crashing and I cannot play it. When I try the LunaTester it crashes.

That is odd, especially considering that this level was made with I think 1.3.1 or whatever it was, and not with any fancier SMBX. Sorry I can't help...!
