Chapter One Welcome To Hell

A young maiden awoke in a room, she had almost no recollection of why she was there or anything prior for that matter. As she regained a sense of time she noticed a cold hand holding her own across the oak wood table she sat next too. She jumped back out of her seat. The rest of the being was concealed by a gloomy darkness. The figure slumped over next to the small candle illuminating the room. He had blood dripping from a hole in his forehead. She silently cursed to the darkness. Then she called out for a sign of life "Hello! Is anyone there?" from which she received none save the scuttling of a small rodent. She inspected the room, it was fairly small allowing her to find the door with ease. She attempted to exit the room in vain, the door was locked. She stumbled around the room for a while in search of a key with no luck. She did however come across a small pistol lying on the floor by the table. "Just in case..." she thought to herself. The search also granted her a wardrobe filled with various clothing articles and a shelf stocked with food items and drinks. The walls were crude gray layers of concrete and stone. The door was also made of a similar stone material, this meant that it would be know use to try to ram it down or to bash the wall. She heard footsteps fast approaching and felt the sudden urgency to hide taking the small gun with her into the wardrobe. The steps grew closer until they were very near the door, then after a long silence she heard someone fumbling with the lock on the door. It swung open and hit the wall with a bang. Then there was a long silence before the wardrobe flew open with a rifle pointed at her waist. It was a second young maiden clad in a ragged green dress that stopped short before her ankles. She had short brown hair and bore many scars across her arms and legs. "Who are you? Did you kill that man?" she questioned her with a serious tone. The lady in green looked at her for a moment with an ominous expression "Mary Algol" she said pointing the rifle at a small name tag on chest. Mary looked to where she was pointing and had a sudden realization of the outfit she was concealed in. It was a dark red tea gown paired with deep black boots and a silver necklace. The lady in green shouted, bringing back her attention "Did you kill this man?". Mary replied "No, I awoke only a few seconds ago... I have no memory of how I got here or why for that matter". The green lady finally lowered her rifle feeling Mary had good intentions. "My name is Antares" she said moving toward the medicine cabinet for supplies. "I awoke in a small room a few days prior, alone, how I ended up here is beyond me. This place is dangerous almost..." she was interrupted by a loud moan from outside the room. The sounds grew closer until it was right outside the door. Then with a smash the door was off it's hinges on the floor. In walked an armless humanoid creature with a safe where a head would be on a regular person. Mary screamed firing all 9 bullets into the creature, It had no effect. The monstrosity looked towards her and raised it's head attempting to bash her skull in. It would have succeeded too were it not for Antares who had yanked her out of the creatures path. Antares pulled a dagger from a belt on her waist jumping towards the beast and landing with a clean cut in it's throat, pulling left its head came tumbling down stopping in front of Mary. She fell over in tears. Antares sighed,
"Welcome to hell my dear friend".
