SMB3 Stardust Beach Tileset

Postby Fuyu » Thu Feb 27, 2014 4:40 pm

Hi! New stuff. I've had this idea since I need it for my own project and thought about posting it. Keep in mind that the background is not included, I've just used it to make it look nicer (The background was made by Wa1uigi).

Natsu, I really don't think it's a good idea to release recolors like these individually. Even if you make the smallest graphic pack, I assume that would be satisfaction, too. Otherwise, particularly admiring the star decorations inside the tileset, I like the periwinkle color; precisely, it would alternatively fit well with a rainbow level, like if various rainbows were coming out of the ground or something. Ideas, ideas. Brilliant work, my dude.

Releasing graphics individually is the point of the graphics forum.

I'll be honest with you, Natsu, though you probably notice this as well (apologies early if it's offending in any way), but it's just a simple recolor with stars put into the tilset. I wouldn't say it's anything special. However, I do have two ideas to propose to make this more unique:

1. Perhaps you can edit the dirt tile graphics to be star-shaped.
2. Make a smoother transition with the stars (i.e. using a lighter outline for the stars to make it blend in with the rest of the tileset).

Weird you found nothing wrong with my SMW castle recolors but you do find it with this tileset.

Anyways, I'll think about the first suggestion, and about the second suggestion, I'll see what I can do.

Thanks for commenting.

You could easily recolour those yourself in minutes using the default SMB3 GFX within SMBX.

I have actually made a new version of this tileset, it is in my GFX Pack. I'll see if I make a sizeable of this tileset or not, let me see how I feel about it. About BGOs, what kind of BGOs are you looking for?
