[LunaLua] Real Red Birdo

  • 1. His is for LunaDll.

    3. Why would anyone download a huge pack just for red birdo?
oh btw, i didn't take the red birdo from a pack or anything. i recoloured her myself and ripped the fireball from a spriters-resource spritesheet, if anyone wants to get picky.

How does it work?
It's simple. Birdo's fireball replaces Ludwig's fire. Because why would you have Ludwig in the same level as Birdo?
It checks Birdo's firing state. If she's firing, a random number is generated. If that random number is the magic value, the egg is turned into the fireball. It's like magic, except it's scripting.

I have a question - do I absolutely need lunalua for this? I have lunadll and that seems like it will suffice.

JK looks good, I think I'm gonna be using this in my episode.

The script is fairly tweakable too. I have one small improvement I want to make to make it work with multiple Birdos first off though.

Unless the behavior is fixed, FanofSmbx's is better due to LunaDLL support.

LunaLua and LunaDLL can be used together if you don't make the codes conflict each other's instructions. Also, this is better because the original egg behavior is kept. Mine had the egg replace a throwable Bullet Bill. Not to mention you couldn't use vegetables with it.

implying rng doesn't make it better because you don't know what to expect.

Could lunalua be used also to make the hammer brothers act like in smb1? Where they throw more hammers?

The video won't load for me. I tamed the spammer brother a bit, added a timer to his AI and such and experimented with different AI's per NPC. The result is a bit hacky as it's based on it being in a specific layer, but it works.

So using the script I have, you could have multiple hammer brothers with either normal or spammer brother AI's. Neat!

I found a glitch:

If you are holding the Birdo's egg on your hand and the Birdo shoots a fireball, the egg in your hand is transformed in a fire ball too.
The error might be in line 16

That looks like very sloppy code to me. Axiom, you could've at least checked if the table element existed on the previous frame!

from what i can tell, it could be a lunalua bug because it's modifying EVERYTHING in the table instead of just that specific NPC.
You could try contacting Rednaxela or Kevsoft.

1. That is smb1 how is this unfair. Have you never played smb1?
2. What? Do you even understand it? I doubt so bc you can't make them chase the player with a simple txt file. And kuribo? You mean the blue shoe? How would that even work.

You really make no sense at all rn.
