Help with gamecube controller

So I managed to get a gamecube controller to work with SMBX, problem is for some reason I'm apparently pressing up all the time, how do I fix this here's a link to the program I'm using http://m4sv.com/page/wii-u-gcn-usb-driver and I'm also usiing the official gamecube adapter.

I had this same problem,it usualy happens if you spill coke or any other sugary liquid on the controller,and its no easy fix,I sugget just getting a new controller.

The problem is that it works just fine in smash for wii u, I should also mention that mine isn't an official original or the new smash one, its a ontroller made by gamestop
