What makes a good bossrush?

When I was playing one of airseus' hilariously bad bossrushes I realized that GFX don't make a good bossrush, it's correct coding and non-breakable bosses, what are your' opinions?

I think Epic Music and Tile set differences and also coded bosses.

What makes a good boss rush is orginal and well made bosses. Everything else comes after.

Gameplay variety and fun.... wait a second why doesn't the poll have gameplay in it. Oh sure it has Graphics but not gameplay ok.

Gameplay isn't on the poll because it's already something that a boss needs, why should I put something on the poll that goes first after everything?

The question is. What makes a good bossrush? And imo gameplay, fun and variety is something a boss needs.

Imo a boss doesn't need some epic music or tileset stuff neither a coded boss or that.

In my opinion, a good Boss Rush must have:

-Original boss fights with a great execution and the appropriate theme and music.

-The first boss obviously has to be the easiest, while the last one... you know.

-The rest area must have a Mushroom generator. That way, the Boss Rush is balanced.

In my opinion a boss rush needs at least
1 original ideas (we have enough vanilla boss rushes)

2 good, well executed, but mostly fun bosses
I am not saying only custom bosses are good
Since you can also make a nice boss with a custom AI and a nice original gimmick for the arena

3 as stated above, the first should obviously be Easy as shit and the last should be hard.

4 a little common sence applies aswell
It would be rather weird to start off with a bowser battle and then end with a hammer bro fight right?

5 please dont just make it like
"Mario must kill all the bosses and that is it"
Having a story with the rush is always a nice touch to the end result


And btw.
dont you think it is rather insulting to call airseus boss rushes like that. I know they are not that good, but being rude to hij doesnt make the boss rushes better does it?

I remember playing through Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland, and the Boss Rush Level was one of my favorites. All bosses were extremely fun, the music was awesome and always made me pumped, and there was a nice secret boss rush hidden within.
So I recommend creativity with boss usage, have the music be something that's intense and gets the player thinking and focused on the bosses, and having some clever secrets would be worthwhile too.
