My thoughts on this game even thought I don't have it yet:
To be honest, Nintendo could have done better....
It is funny that the first image shows Sm4sh artwork behind the SMM artwork.
The amiibo thing is just a bit wrong at some stuff (But my mouth dropped about Wario because of one good reason).
How in the world they couldn't figure anything else for the Pokemon costumes?
But with them adding styles of the Ghost house and Airship themes was a pretty neat thing in my opinion.
I don't know how many people here have seen this (or been able to come to the same conclusion themselves), but with the Mario Maker stage coming out for Sm4sh, there has been a bit of speculation what it could mean for future updates of Mario Maker (if those ever happen again). Skip to 1:54 for the interesting stuff.
tl;dw slopes and lava as a tile could be added eventually

There was some gameplay video that Gamexplain did and it showed most of the costumes.
With a Pokemon costume, the death Jingle dosen't change.

That is rude, don't backseat moderate like that.
I am not arguing with anyone, if you don't understand then go check it out yourself.
EDIT: At least almost everyone had thier own death jingle used.
Even Wario's from SML 3 is used (They still remeber SML?).
I also don't understand why.
And just because I said something about the amiibo costumes that dosen't make sense dosen't mean that I'm a daft.

Uhm... that isn't rude and second how is that backseat moderating?
Actually... who cares anyway about the whole costume stuff. All i want is sharing my merio levels and stuff. Can there never be one topic that doesn't have arguments.

Yeah, I kinda got a bit too offended from that.
And let's just state that the amiibo costumes are dumb (especially since they are only in the SMB style), and just continue on with anyone who wants to share their levels.

You're daft because you think nintendo made a conscious decision to not give the pokemon costumes unique sounds.

I never said that (you think nintendo made a conscious decision to not give the pokemon costumes unique sounds).
It's just an opinion about the costumes and I get offended like this.
I just don't like how they did that, especially since that it had alot of themes for death and victory and which ones did they use? NONE!
As a matter of fact:
Video is by NintenU.
If you want to be rude and annoy someone like that, then don't go saying that you know it and call someone daft for them not knowing that you know it (In addition, opninon or not I think it is wrong for someone to make a big deal about a person's thought about a Mario game).
Oh well.. most of the 90's stuff dosen't get alot of respect anyways...
Rather spoil since someone wants to begin a fight about my opinion about amiibo the costumes (This is the evilness of amiibos ).

Nintendo isn't the sole owner of Pokemon - GameFreak and Creatures Inc. also own it. For some reason I'm guessing they didn't want Nintendo to use their sounds for some reason.

I was actually a bit stressed when I was fighting, sorry.
But I think you could be right on this, some companies that work with another would probally sometimes not want their stuff used in another game.
