I can only speculate as to why Europe has to wait so long. My guess is that they localize the games into several languages, and plan to release them all simultaneously. US doesnt have that issue, as most of US speaks English, or at least knows enough to get by. Don't quote me on that though.

Yeah, that is the reason most likely, especially for text-heavy games.

don't pull that card. You were wrong.
You can only play as the amiibo costumes in smb1. please admit when you aren't right, thank you.

ACTUALLY LEGIT ANSWER FROM GOOGLE
Mario can only transform into Costume Mario in the Super Mario Bros. style of the game.
What do we learn by that? To use google before we claim such things in the first place. Guilty.

And how would someone supposedly do that? - Build a NFC Reading and find/make a program that can read NFC Cards?
Highly doubt it.
Playable rips using the public video footage have already been done. http://mfgg.net/index.php?act=resdb&par ... 1&id=31696

SMB1 had three walking frames and a unique standing frame.

I think Super Mario Maker (final name) is only a bad version of SMBX Level Editor.
In SSM you can not make Layer or Events. And there are no custom tiles.
Only the ?-Mushroom is cool.
(Thats all I have hear befor the relise.)
Sorry for my bad english!

Could you guys seriously stop comparing Mario Maker to SMBX? There is no real point in doing so.

let's stop comparing. This topic is becoming an hate palace, and why does almost everyone here thread this game like shit. Sigh, and yoshibrothers is right. We all shouldn't be such jerks towards this wii u titel, its good in its own way, just like smbx is good in other things.

You really get all that?? My god America is lucky. All Canada gets is a fucking poster.
Actually from what I can tell, the poster is an ebgames exclusive for preordering it in both countries. I am also 100% certain the design book is included in every purchase of the game (and it definitely can be seen here at the bottom of the list of features: "Each retail copy of the game will come with a special booklet that offers fun ideas for designing courses." It's also shown in pictures and in the package contents at bestbuy.ca).
In Canada, the amiibo bundle is not included as a separate sale option and the separate amiibos are, of course, already sold out. I suspect the bundle is also out of stock in the US anyway. Hell, I can't even find the bundle on gamestop on either nation's version of the site but it's sold out on amazon.
I only really want the booklet anyway.

Turns out Best Buy in Canada does have a Pre-Order Bonus, sorta.
You get these badges or pins or something when you preorder, but you also have to buy a second (from a list) game to get the bonus. I find that really stupid.

You can make good stuff without any of this.
Tbh mm looks more fun also i saw it on youtube and boy.. there was stuff nobody did on smbx yet. Also i am sure nintendo will add more stuff later to it.
And yeah stop comparing them. It's one thing that annoys me in this forum.

It's better if we pretend that there is no such thing as comparison between SMM and SMBX. Doesn't matter what the compare/contrast is, even if it's that major in differences, Super Mario Maker will still be released(most likely).

You got a point, because Nintendo's uploading SMM gameplays. However, it was not yet released in public.

That's beside the point. It's still finished already.
